The 14% increase in railway fare and 6.5 % increase in the
freight fare will not only make train-travel dearer for the Indian commuter but
also have a cascading effect on the Indian Commodity market.
WLCI Business School feels that with train fares being
costlier, all transported vegetables, food grains, textile and other
consumables will result in a price-hike.
India has to gear up for the price
escalation in various merchandise products in recent future.
