finance manager is a very important person in any organization for the person develops
and manages financial goals and charts the financial road-map for the company. While
the common requirements for one is a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or a comparable discipline, employers often prefer those with a Master’s degree.
Key skills one is expected to have are an analytical mind and to be detail-oriented
besides having strong communication skills and finally, excellent skills in mathematics.

- Ability to establish and maintain amiable working relationships with clients
- Confidence at making sound investment decisions
- In-depth working knowledge of the whole financial industry
- Persuasive and confident communicator, able to deal with senior colleagues and clients
- Persistence and assertiveness along with tact and diplomacy
This
is not all. A good manager must be in sync with the latest happenings in the financial
industry that experiences ever-changing regulations. A good way to go about it
would be by attending conferences and seminars to be in the know of current financial management matters.
Additionally,
a good finance manager must be able to manage time effectively, keep cool under
pressure and go about things with honesty and transparency.
